Vinted fees calculator (UK)

Vinted takes nothing from sellers: the buyer pays a fee on top of your price, and pays for the postage. Here’s what you keep, and roughly what your buyer pays.

How it works

How Vinted charges in the UK

There are no selling fees on Vinted. The price you list is the price you’re paid. Vinted makes its money from the buyer, who pays the Vinted fee (Vinted’s name for Buyer Protection) and the postage at checkout.

FeeWho paysHow much
Selling feeSellerNone
Vinted fee (Buyer Protection)BuyerUsually 3% to 8% of the item or bundle price + 30p to 80p, VAT included
PostageBuyerDepends on the carrier and parcel size
Bumps and ShowcaseSeller, if usedShown when you buy them; they depend on the item and how long
Withdrawing to your bankSellerNo fee listed (to a UK bank account in pounds)

Since the buyer pays for the label, a normal Vinted sale costs you only the item and your packaging. Vinted also charges £30 a year on a balance left untouched for 24 months, so withdraw your earnings now and then.

Not fully confirmed: Vinted publishes the buyer’s fee only as a range (3% to 8% + 30p to 80p), depending on the item, the order value and whether it’s a bundle, so the calculator shows the buyer’s cost as a range. The familiar “5% + 70p” isn’t on Vinted’s current pages. None of this changes what you receive.

Questions

Does Vinted charge sellers fees in the UK?

No. Vinted says there are no selling fees: you receive the full price you listed. Bumps and Showcase are optional extras you can pay for.

How much is the Vinted Buyer Protection fee?

Vinted calls it the Vinted fee now. Its price list says it’s usually 3% to 8% of the item or bundle price plus a fixed 30p to 80p, including VAT, and the exact amount is shown at checkout. The buyer pays it on top of your price.

Who pays postage on Vinted?

The buyer. Postage is added to their payment at checkout and you get a prepaid label, so it doesn’t come out of your earnings.

Is Vinted Pro free?

Yes. Vinted says Vinted Pro, its account for business sellers, is free to use.
