How it works

How Depop charges UK sellers

Depop doesn’t take a selling fee from sellers based in the UK. What you do pay is the payment processing fee for Depop Payments, and the boosting fee if the sale came from a Boosted listing. The buyer pays a Marketplace fee on top.

FeeWho paysHow much
Selling feeSeller0% for UK sellers
Payment processingSeller2.9% + 30p of the item price, postage and any taxes
Boosting feeSeller, if Boosted12% of the item price, plus postage unless it’s a Depop Shipping label; only if the buyer found it through the boost and bought within 28 days
Marketplace feeBuyerUp to 5% of the item price + up to £1

Sellers based outside the UK, US and Australia still pay a 10% selling fee on Depop.

Not fully confirmed: Depop publishes the buyer’s Marketplace fee only as a maximum (“up to 5% + up to £1”), so the calculator shows it as “up to”. The 12% boosting fee is for listings from 23 March 2026; Depop’s page doesn’t say what applies to ones boosted before that. One Depop policy page gives a UK example with 3.3% + 45p processing, which is Depop’s US rate: the calculator uses 2.9% + 30p from the seller fees page.
