How it works

How Preloved charges

Preloved doesn’t charge listing fees or take a commission on what you sell. It makes its money from optional memberships, and from business accounts.

If you and the buyer choose to pay through Preloved’s payment partner, Trustap, it’s free for the seller; the buyer pays a small buying fee based on the item’s value.

Not fully confirmed: Preloved’s buyer fee for Trustap payments is set by value bands that Preloved doesn’t publish as text, so the calculator doesn’t show it. It doesn’t change what you receive. An older Preloved blog post gives £5 for Full membership; the membership page says £6.

Does Preloved charge fees for selling?

No. Preloved charges no listing fees, selling fees or commission. Memberships (£6 or £15 a year) and business accounts are optional.

Is Preloved Premium worth it?

Premium is £15 a year and gives your adverts priority placement. If it helps you sell even one extra item a year, it’s likely paid for itself: put your share of it in the calculator to see the effect per item.
